Provider and scope
These draft terms cover the Nidox organiser on iOS, Android and the web. Provider: Christian Casariego, operating Nidox; [business address to be completed]; contact@nidox.app. Provider details and the acceptance process must be finalised before these terms take effect. Platform-store terms also apply to store purchases.
Accounts and family responsibility
Use accurate information, protect your device/account and share invitations only with intended people. Do not access another family without permission. Adults must have appropriate authority to add children’s or other people’s information and obtain parental authorisation where law requires it. A family invitation does not establish legal guardianship or verified consent. Roles determine app permissions, not custody or ownership of another person’s data.
You retain your rights to content. You allow Nidox and its service providers to process it only as needed to provide, secure and maintain the requested service, as described in the privacy policy. Do not upload unlawful content, violate others’ privacy, harass, secretly monitor people, bypass quotas or compromise the service. Technical protections may restrict abusive activity. We will give notice and an opportunity to address an issue when reasonably possible, except where immediate restriction is needed for security or law.
Free and Pro
Free includes the organiser within the displayed family limits. Pro currently has a reference price of CHF 3.90/month or CHF 39/year for one family; the final store checkout shows the applicable currency, taxes and price before confirmation. An active verified subscription applies to the linked family across supported clients. Pro adds AI with a monthly family allowance and a maximum of 40 requests per day. The allowance limits provider cost and does not promise 40 completed requests every day. Pro does not guarantee unlimited file storage or service use.
Purchases occur only through an activated supported store. Apple purchases are managed through Apple; Android Google Play checkout is in preparation. There is currently no web checkout. Renewal, cancellation, refund, statutory withdrawal and purchase confirmation follow the applicable store flow and mandatory law. No account deletion cancels a store subscription. Changes to paid subscription prices follow store requirements and any legally required consent. A purchase should not be duplicated in another store if your family already has active Pro.
AI, trips and location
AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. Review dates, people, costs and suggestions before saving; shopping aisle sorting applies when you request it. AI does not provide medical, legal, financial or emergency advice. Destination images and trip ideas do not imply a booking or current availability. Nidox is not a travel agent and does not sell transport or accommodation.
Follow Me is voluntary, time-limited sharing with selected people. You can stop it early. GPS, routes, ETA and notifications may be delayed or unavailable because of permissions, battery, network or platform restrictions. It is not an emergency service or a guarantee of safety. Do not rely on it as the only way to seek help.
Optional Android system-assistant access can disclose the selected family’s agenda or outstanding chores to a supported system assistant. Proposed changes still require review and confirmation in Nidox. Optional device-calendar copies may synchronize through your chosen calendar provider. Disabling new automatic copies leaves existing copies linked; a calendar change leaves previous copies in the old calendar. Check recurrence and whole-series changes before confirming them, and manage copies separately when leaving the service.
Personal device reminders are optional and depend on notification permissions, loaded records and operating-system/battery settings. They may arrive late or not at all, including when exact alarm access is unavailable. They do not provide a guaranteed alarm or emergency service; check important appointments directly.
Connected external assistants
The optional MCP pilot lets you authorize a compatible external assistant for one family and selected permissions. Existing family roles continue to apply. Read the provider’s terms and privacy policy before connecting it: data returned by approved tools is also processed by that provider. Review and approve the exact proposed changes in Nidox; a model’s statement that an action is confirmed is not your approval. Revoke access in Settings → Connected apps when it is no longer wanted. Revocation cannot recall information already received by the provider. Pilot availability, client compatibility and request limits may restrict use; the integration is not a promise of universal assistant support or an additional subscription entitlement. See the developer guide.
Availability and platform differences
An internet connection and supported device/browser are required for synchronisation and server functions. Android can retain previously loaded ordinary family data and pending edits in a private persistent cache. A locally accepted edit is not a server-confirmed save and can be rejected on reconnection. Signing out or changing accounts discards that cache and unconfirmed writes. Not every record is available offline; AI, purchases, invitations, server commands and Follow Me route access/transmission need a connection. iOS Live Activities and Siri differ from Android notification/widgets and optional system-assistant integrations. Browser background tracking is limited. Store distribution, billing and specific native features can be unavailable before activation or publication. We publish significant feature changes and may temporarily interrupt service for maintenance or security.
Leaving and data
You may stop using Nidox and delete your account. Shared family data remains if other signed-in members continue using the family. Before leaving, keep any information you need using available export/share options; a complete self-service export is not currently promised. Data rights and retention are explained in the privacy policy. Where a permanent service shutdown is planned, we will provide reasonable notice and available ways to retrieve content, subject to legal/security restrictions.
Liability and mandatory rights
We take reasonable care to operate Nidox. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights, intentional misconduct or gross negligence. Store and provider outages, inaccurate user content and copies made by recipients are assessed under applicable law; no blanket waiver of your statutory rights applies.
Swiss law applies to the extent permitted, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or competent courts in their country of residence. We do not impose an exclusive Swiss forum on consumers where this is unlawful. Changes to these terms will be communicated in advance where required, and material changes requiring acceptance will be presented for acceptance. Merely updating this page does not record acceptance in your account.
